It\u2019s been an eventful year for the blockchain industry, both in India and internationally.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve watched as <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/el-salvador-adopts-bitcoin\/\">El Salvador adopted Bitcoin<\/a> as legal tender; as <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/why-we-need-defi-the-r-wallstreetbets-story\/\">GameStop stock showed us a true need for decentralized finance<\/a>. And through it all, we\u2019ve watched crypto quickly go mainstream as the global crypto market cap crossed $2 TRILLION for the first time ever.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In India, the year started with a bang, as news of a possible crypto ban ran rife in February. We <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/zebpays-lawyer-on-crypto-bill-what-we-know-and-dont-know\/\">did not sugar coat the issue<\/a>, but counseled patience, expressing faith in the state of our country\u2019s democracy. This patience was soon rewarded, with the formation of a committee <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/crypto-and-crypto-regulations\/\">dedicated to the legislation of digital assets<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As organisations like the <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/the-crypto-relief-story\/\">Crypto Relief Fund<\/a> continue their work to help India fight the COVID-19 pandemic, we\u2019re confident that the government will see the benefits these new technologies will bring to our economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s been an eventful year for ZebPay too! Let\u2019s start with a quick scorecard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Listed 50+ new tokens<\/strong>, meaning you now have <strong>more than 100 market pairs<\/strong> to buy and sell with on ZebPay<\/li><li>Our <strong>exchange trade volume has grown by 300%<\/strong> in this time, boosted by trading in fan-favourite tokens like ADA, SOL and SHIB.&nbsp;<\/li><li>In October, for the first time in our exchange\u2019s history, we crossed <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/zebpays-100-million-daily-volume-milestone\/\"><strong>$100 million in 24-hour exchange trading volume<\/strong><\/a><strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><li>Launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/the-worlds-first-women-only-dao\/\"><strong>world\u2019s first womens\u2019 DAO<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li>The ZebPay community has <strong>doubled<\/strong> in the last year, as our <strong>user base has grown by 135%&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><li>The Ohana has grown too! The Z-Team now has<strong> more than 200 members<\/strong> working from all over the world.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, it\u2019s never about just the numbers. As we continue to expand our offerings, our mission to deliver long-term value still stands. With our new <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/announcing-zebpay-xpress-listing\/\">Xpress Listings we can add tokens and trade pairs significantly faster,<\/a> meaning you get to trade in new tokens faster too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our mission also expands beyond just listing tokens. ZebPay\u2019s new product features &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/zebpay.com\/blog\/understand-zebpay-earn-and-lending\/\">Earn and Lend<\/a> &#8211; have been a big step towards achieving our mission.
