04 What are the deposit tenure options for ZebPay Earn?
ZebPay Earn offers three fixed deposit terms: 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. Longer terms generally offer higher annualized earning rates. You can also enable auto-renewal, which automatically reinvests your crypto into a new term of the same duration when the current term expires. Note: not all coins support the 90-day term, ATOM and ADA are limited to 30/60-day options only.
05 Is there a penalty for early withdrawal from ZebPay Earn?
No, ZebPay Earn does not charge any penalty for early withdrawal. If you withdraw your crypto before your deposit term expires, your principal amount is returned in full, you will not lose any of your original crypto. However, no earnings are credited for early withdrawals; returns are only paid at the end of the full term.

ZebPay Earn has minimum deposit limits for each supported crypto asset. You can find the same on the ZebPay platform. There is no stated maximum deposit limit.
07 How are earnings calculated on ZebPay Earn?
ZebPay Earn calculates returns on a daily basis. The earning cycle runs from 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC each day (5:30 AM to 5:29 AM IST). Earnings begin accruing from 00:00 UTC on the start date of your deposit. The annualized rate is divided across the number of days in your chosen term, and the total accumulated earnings are credited to your wallet at maturity.
(Example: If you deposit 1 ATOM at 8.5% annualized for 60 days, your approximate earning = 1 × 8.5% × (60/365) ≈ 0.01397 ATOM)
08 When are ZebPay Earn earnings credited to my wallet?
For ZebPay Earn, your earnings are credited to your ZebPay wallet on the maturity date of your deposit, between 00:00–02:00 UTC (5:30–7:30 AM IST). The earnings are paid in the same crypto asset you deposited. For example, if you deposited BTC, your returns are credited as BTC. After crediting, the funds are immediately available in your wallet for trading, withdrawal, or re-investing in a new Earn term.

ZebPay Earn is designed with security as a priority. ZebPay is India’s oldest crypto exchange (operating since 2014) and is registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND) under India’s Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). User funds are stored in multi-signature (multi-sig) cold wallets, significantly reducing online exposure. Unlike DeFi staking, ZebPay Earn is a centralized, platform-managed product, returns are fixed and not subject to smart contract risk.
10 How is ZebPay Earn different from crypto staking?
ZebPay Earn is a fixed-term deposit product, while crypto staking involves locking coins to support a blockchain network’s proof-of-stake consensus mechanism. Key differences: ZebPay Earn offers fixed, predetermined rates with no market risk on returns; traditional staking rates are variable and depend on network participation. ZebPay Earn also supports coins like BTC and USDT that cannot be natively staked. ZebPay Earn requires no blockchain knowledge, and early withdrawal is allowed without slashing penalties.
11 Are ZebPay Earn returns taxable in India?
Yes, earnings from ZebPay Earn are taxable in India under the current crypto tax framework (Finance Act 2022). Returns earned through ZebPay Earn are classified as income from Virtual Digital Assets (VDA). TDS may also apply on certain transactions. ZebPay recommends consulting a qualified tax advisor for personalized guidance, as crypto tax regulations in India continue to evolve.

Yes, ZebPay Earn supports USDT (Tether), offering annualized returns. USDT earning is particularly attractive for users who want to avoid crypto price volatility, since USDT is pegged to the U.S. Dollar, keeping your principal value stable while you earn returns.
